The story behind the name
A Novel Leaf is a play on turning over a new leaf and beginning a new chapter.
No two leaves are exactly alike. Each one has its own color, pattern, and character and becomes part of the larger story of the plant as it grows. That’s what I love most about collecting: there’s always something new unfolding. A new leaf, a new plant, a new favorite...and another chapter to look forward to.
Grown with care
I’m drawn to the details that make each plant unique, from unexpected color and unusual patterns to the excitement of watching a new leaf slowly unfurl.
My collection is grown and cared for by me at home in New Jersey. Whether I’m starting with a tiny corm, settling a new plant into the collection, or preparing one to head to its next home, I give each one the same thoughtful care.
More than a plant shop
A Novel Leaf is as much about sharing the experience of growing as it is about the plants themselves.
I share the beautiful leaves, the exciting finds, the growing pains, and what I learn along the way. Plant care doesn’t always go perfectly, and I’d rather share the real experience than pretend that it does.
And when one of my plants becomes one of yours, I’m still here. I’m always happy to answer questions, help with acclimation, or celebrate that first new leaf with you.
